SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY PTU

You will need:

Font of choice – I used United States, found

Scrapkit is called Liberty by Bibi’s Collection. This is a fantastic 4^th of July kit – I love it! It can be purchased from SATC

Tube of choice. I used a new one by Keith Garvey called Aunt Samantha.

Mask of choice – I used WSL84 from Wee Scots Lass.

Set foreground color to #302b6e and background to #a50a0d

Open a new raster 700 x 700 and fill white.

Layers – new raster layer.

Fill with gradient

Apply mask WSL84

In layers palette, merge group.

Stretch mask to edges.

Duplicate mask and merge both together.

Element 2 (frame) – Resize 65%. Paste above the mask layer. Slide to the right.

Sharpen. Duplicate – mirror. Slide the frames together a bit if you need to. They should be almost touching at the bottom centre,

Merge both frames together and centre on the canvas.

 Cut then paste gets things bang in the middle J

Click inside frame with magic wand – don’t forget the little bit inside the bows. Selections – modify – expand 8.

Layers – new raster layer. Fill with same gradient you used for mask.

Deselect.

Dropshadow frame.

Element 67 (starburst) – Resize 75%. Paste above gradient layer, just under frame. Slide to the top and left a bit. The bottom corner of the starburst should align with the corner of the top right frame.

Sharpen. Duplicate. Merge both layers together to give more depth.

Duplicate – flip.

Dropshadow both.

Element 57 (black net) – Paste above mask layer and slide to the bottom left corner.

Duplicate – mirror. Merge both together.

Duplicate and slide to the top

Dropshadow both.

Element 89 (red firework) – Resize 70%. Paste above element 57 layers and slide to the top right corner.

Duplicate and merge together.

Duplicate again – mirror. Merge both together.

Duplicate again – flip.
Dropshadow both.

Element 12 (gold mesh) – Resize 60%. Paste above element 89 layers.

Free rotate right 45. Slide to top left corner.

Sharpen. Duplicate. Merge both together.

Duplicate again – mirror. Merge both together.

Duplicate - flip

 Dropshadow both.

Element 48 (hanging bottles) –Resize 60%. Paste above frame layer.

Slide to the right.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Element 106 (Flag) – Resize 65% then 70%. Paste above element 48 layer and slide to the top left corner.

Duplicate. On the bottom copy, free rotate left 15.

On the top copy, free rotate right 15.

Sharpen both and Dropshadow.

Element 42 (roses) – Resize 70%. Paste above the flag layers.

Free rotate left 10. Slide to the left.

Sharpen. Dropshadow.

Tube – Paste above the roses layer and slide into position.

Dropshadow.

Add any other embellishments of choice.

Crop & resize if desired.

Add copyrights and name.
